10 Wrestlers Even AEW Couldn’t Sign

4. Kane

AEW bringing in WWE's former 'Big Red Machine' should his time as Knox County's one conclude in the near future would complete something of an unholy trinity of signings that kicked off in early 2021 with the arrival of Paul Wight.

When Mark Henry jumped later in the year, a sinking feeling crept in that the company would complete the set of Vince McMahon's favourite massive guys, all with little-to-no obvious on-screen purpose. Since then, Wight's been a ghost, Henry's a Rampage meme (and apparently a very welcome mind backstage) and nary a match has been troubled by either since the former Big Show took a beating from The Gunn Club on the Dynamite after Revolution.

It's for this reason that All Elite Wrestling viewers should console themselves with the logical reality that Kane is a WWE-lifer type in the rich red vein of his storyline older brother. AEW sign a lot of wrestlers, but the veteran star has - at most - what Wight and Henry are already providing.
