10 Wrestlers Set For A Big Push Following WrestleMania 35
2. Roman Reigns
WWE has exercised uncharacteristic restraint upon easing Roman Reigns back into the fold. Roman's upper midcard role is assuredly not going to last - but hopefully the finesse will.
Roman Reigns isn't coming back to d*ck around with RAW's midcard rank and file; he is coming to reclaim his Yard. Reigns has expressed a desire to face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 36, and given the marquee value of that match, and Roman's rare autonomy, it is likely to happen. The best means of building towards it - and to maintain our distance from the old, loathed Roman Reigns character - is a switch to SmackDown as part of the imminent Superstar Shake-up. Reigns is synonymous with RAW, and with the Fox deal looming, such a switch represents a mutually beneficial arrangement; the network lands WWE's biggest star, and we receive that star in a fresh context.
Should SmackDown retain something of its identity as the wrestling-heavy main roster show - and there's no guarantee of that, since it will become Vince's favourite child - situating Reigns in programmes with more depth and action than broad b*stard rest holds would go some way towards removing his stigma as the rote, comeback destroyer.
