10 Wrestlers That Are Too Good For The Spot They're Currently In
5. Chad Gable
Shorty G was a stupid name saddled onto a great wrestler. Chad Gable wasn't doing great before his name change, but the switch to "Shorty G" was painful and really hurt the Olympic wrestler.
Gable was labelled as short by management (probably Vince) and because of this he has never gotten the push he deserved. His time in NXT showed that he is the best of the best when it comes to both singles and tag team wrestling, but he has never been given the opportunity to shine.
He has been part of many different tag teams. Teams that seemingly lack logical sense such as Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Roode, but these teams existed at a time when the last thing on anybody's mind was tag team wrestling.
It's a cliché to say this at this point but there is a lot of Kurt Angle in Chad Gable. Not just the Olympic credentials but the goofiness and the mat-wrestling style. With creative behind him, Gable could easily be one of the top stars on the blue brand.
Thankfully, Gable ditched the Shorty G character on SmackDown, so maybe he's finally in for a big push in the near future.
