Liv's successor Ronda gets so much hate too.

Rousey has never been fully accepted by WWE's fanbase. Many disliked the (admittedly aloof) comments she made about the biz and the peeps who follow it in the past, but that's not the full story; there are those who just refuse to regard the ex-UFC fighter as anything other than a celeb playing wrestler.

That's rather unfair, 'cause it's clear that Rousey is one hell of an athlete who has worked hard to get with it in a notoriously-unforgiving industry. Her earliest matches showed real promise, and she does have a sustainable crossover star power that so many on the roster lack.

Ronda isn't the first real world athlete to throw barbs at pro wrestling, and she won't be the last. Besides, she's been successfully reborn as a heel who leans on that 'hate me if you want and I'll hate you right back' characterisation.
