10 Wrestlers That NOBODY Hated

1. Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle
WWE

Is Kurt Angle the perfect, flawless professional wrestler?

He boasts a legitimate background, if that's important to you. You'd struggle to find a more believable pro. His intensity was off the charts. Beyond the physical element, in his huge matches, it was impossible not to fall under his spell. This is a man who with more mouth than face, he was that lost in the role of a psychopath, screamed "I'll break your f**king ankle!" to the Rock at No Way Out 2000.

His matches were incredible, whether he was doing big match WWE theatre, going hold-for-hold with world-class technicians who held decades more experience than he did, or executing moonsaults off the top of steel cages.

If you're a sicko, a nihilist, madman Angle enchanted you with his utterly demented TNA run. He should not have been in that ring, realistically, and still went harder than everybody else. Aficionados of "real graps" worship Kurt as their God, and even the most casual, lapsed Attitude Era fan still delights at Angle's mastery of sports entertainment. The goofball was just ingenious at the "ga-ga" of it all. The facial expression he pulled when inadvertently casting himself as a sexual deviant in his feud with Rey Mysterio (pictured) is just unbelievable.

The timing he possessed for everything - comedy, execution, everything - was inch-perfect.
