1977 was a pretty major year for wrestling babies, and April 23 saw the birth of the current top star in the business, John Cena. That makes him the most famous of the wrestling names who will be turning 40 in 2017.

Cena first arrived in WWE in 2002, though it took him until 2005 to hit the main event. Since then, he's been the face of the company and has racked up several records, the most notable of which has been his collection of 12 WWE World Championships (which, when combined with his three World Heavyweight Championships, puts him at an impressive 15 world title reigns). He's also headlined five WrestleMania shows.

Over the past couple of years, Cena has broken out in the mainstream, as well. He's appeared in hit films and national ad campaigns, starred in American Grit, and he hosted the 2016 ESPY Awards on ABC. Still, he's promised to continue wrestling full-time for years to come.

So how will Cena celebrate his upcoming 40th birthday? On his 30th, he took on Shawn Michaels in arguably the best match in Raw history, so needless to say, expectations are high.
