10 Wrestlers Wasting Their Life In WWE

7. Apollo Crews

...APOLLOOOOOOOOO!

WWE couldn't have expected more from Crews when they ditched his smiling high-flying babyface routine and turned him into a royal wannabe despot last year. He embraced the Nigerian accent, hammed up the cartoonish vibes and went for it. There's no doubting that it raised his profile.

That profile has since gone crashing through the floor. Like his big bodyguard Azeez, Apollo has suffered from WWE's nonstop cries of, 'Well we need to Draft somebody' lately. His move to Mondays in the 2021 shakeup has done bugger all to keep momentum rolling. If things were already sagging on SmackDown, then momentum is nonexistent on Raw.

It's difficult to see what else Crews could do to pique Vince McMahon's interest. He's solid on the mic, adaptable and quite the worker bell-to-bell. Sadly, it seems he's always be overlooked in favour of others no matter what he does. Like with Gulak, trying to convince WWE otherwise feels like wasted energy.
