10 Wrestlers Who Went Back To WWE After Failing To Become An Actor

4. Kevin Nash

Kevin Nash The PunisherProminent works: The Punisher, The Longest Yard In the face of things, the idea of Kevin Nash trying to break through into a mainstream movie star is a bit of joke. It might be one thing for a Chris Jericho- gifted with looks and natural charisma- to try and do but Nash? Ironically, the 'skills' that Nash possesses that gained him many of the roles he got in pretty big, well known films are remarkably similar to the 'skills' that gained him his push in professional wrestling to begin with: he's big, he looks imposing and he's an asshole.* To be fair to Nash, some of the films in which he has appeared, especially the two listed above, aren't half bad- not that Nash himself contributed much to that status. Nash's attempts to make it as an actor full-time rapidly faded in the mid 2000s, after he had quit WWE in 2003. He would debut in TNA shortly there after and spend 7 years in that promotion, on and off. During that time, Nash continued to attempt to launch his acting career with a selection of terrible films, alike most on this list, using professional wrestling as a fall-back, should he find himself short of work. He did appear in the 2012 film adaptation of Rock of Ages in a very minor role. His latest film, starring under Keanu Reeves, Adrianne Palicki and Willem Dafoe will be released later this year. *All opinions expressed in this article are that of the author and the author alone.
