10 Wrestlers We're Most Thankful For In 2019

1. Chris Jericho

You can count on one hand the number of wrestlers who are as consistently great at so many different things as Chris Jericho, who, at 49 years old, is still operating at a ridiculously high level, having somehow reinvented himself again as 'Le Champion.'

'The Alpha' is endlessly charming. Age has blunted none of his wit, and he greatest a new meme almost every single week, from "a little bit of the bubblaayyyyy!" to "I've got a ticket!". He cuts a better promo than 99.9% of performers working today and still delivers in the ring as well, as seen in bouts with the likes of Darby Allin and Cody which, rather than pushing Jericho beyond his physical capabilities, have succeeded by working around them, highlighting his mastery of psychology and storytelling.

Most important of all is that Jericho is the perfect World Champion at the perfect time for AEW. He might be the best top champion in wrestling today, in fact, and now that he has proven drawing ability in AEW and New Japan, maybe he should be part of that "Greatest of All Time" debate after all...
