10 Wrestlers Who've Suffered Most From The WWE Brand Split

8. Titus O'Neil

It’d be easy to throw Darren Young’s name alongside his fellow former Prime Time Player, but at least he has Bob Backlund and the “make Darren Young great again” story to lean on, thin as it may be. Both men have struggled since the Brand Split took-off, but Titus’ post-Draft run has been particularly disastrous.

After weeks of routine embarrassment at Rusev’s hands, Titus recently turned heel on Young, and the feud is already dead in the water. The crowd reactions are non-existent, and O’Neil’s contributions have been particularly woeful. His in-ring promo on this week’s Raw was one of the most awkward, misplaced speeches in recent WWE history, and it was painful to watch Titus lose focus, stumble over his words, and make a goof of himself in front of the live TV audience.

While most wrestlers on this list have suffered from a lack of TV time, O’Neil has suffered from overexposure. WWE have simply asked too much of his limited abilities since he was drafted to Raw, and while Titus has featured more prominently, it has not been to his benefit. WWE are struggling to fill the gaps on their over-long three-hour Raw shows, but Titus is a square peg in a round hole.
