Fans of WCW from the late 90s/early 2000s will remember the arrival of the enigmatic Canadian superstar, Vampiro. His unique appearance, cool vibe and solid reputation from Mexico made the gothic enigma a notable signing for WCW.

With a painted face, tattoos and dreadlocks, to say Vampiro had "the look" would be an understatement. His unusual presentation made him natural opposition for Sting. It even resulted in a three-way between Vampiro, Sting and The Great Muta at Fall Brawl 2000.

Despite performing for promotions internationally, Vampiro's wrestling activity Stateside was short-lived following the demise of WCW. He had a brief stint in TNA before becoming a key part of Wrestling Society X; however, the latter was axed before the series could finish. Having seemingly retired from full-time competition, Vampiro's next big project in the US was providing colour commentary for Lucha Underground in 2014.

However, in between WSX and Lucha Underground, Vamp had lost a hair match in AAA. Vamp opted to keep the look debuted on LU, looking a lot more like Kane than the Vamp many remembered.

Vampiro is still part of Lucha Underground, having appeared on all three series; however, he frequently experiments with his image and has varied his hair styles in recent years.
