To say Vince McMahon has had a whirlwind year would be like saying the Titanic had a whirlwind first voyage - a huge understatement and pretty damn obvious.

The former CEO of WWE (that still feels weird to see written down) left his long-time position in July 2022 amidst allegations of making hush money payments to former employees and accounts of sexual misconduct.

In a much simpler time before all this went down - i.e. WrestleMania 38 - fans were treated to what will likely be Vinny Mac's final appearance in a WWE ring.

After watching his protégé Austin Theory lose to Pat McAfee, the 76-year-old McMahon stepped into the squared circle to battle the commentator himself. A few minutes later, Vince pinned Pat to score the W.

Not only did Vince become both the oldest performer and oldest winner in the event's history, but this was also his first ever victory at WrestleMania.

It's a safe bet to say that Vince McMahon will not be having another WWE match this year, so his 2022 undefeated streak is probably in safe hands.

If only the same could be said for his reputation.
