They say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but sometimes the cover is so blindingly obvious it seems like a waste of time not to. Ludvig Borga lasted just six months in the World Wrestling Federation, and was actually never pinned in singles competition. The WWF had big plans for the Finn, but a mixture of injuries and the fact that he just didn't get on with anyone saw them nixed.

Not to worry, as Borga (real name Tony Halme) decided to head home and get involved in politics. He was actually worrying successful, spending seven years on the Finnish Parliament as a member of the 'True Finns' independent party. My knowledge of Finnish politics is fairly slim, but rudimentary research tells me that they are the anti-immigrant nationalist party.

Halme's time in parliament wasn't without incident, and he actually spent all of 2006 on sick leave in a mental hospital due to delirium caused by excessive drinking. He would go on to end his own life with a single gunshot to the head in 2010.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
