10 Wrestlers Who Broke Kayfabe In Unusual Ways
7. Bobby Heenan Wants To "Know What The F*ck" Brian Pillman Is Doing
Kayfabe was hugely important to Brian Pillman's mid-1990s success.
That is to say; he needed the key tenets of it to exist in order for any of his stuff to get over. Wrestling was ever-so-slightly peeling back the curtain by 1996, but not so much that 'The Loose Cannon's act couldn't cause more than a bit of a stir by ripping it off the rail when ever he had a chance.
One such case occurred WCW Clash of Champions 32 before his battle with Eddie Guerrero had even gotten into gear. Looking to capture the unpredictable energy almost every appearance had generated during the run, Pillman took to the floor and ruffled commentator Bobby Heenan's hair and jacket.
What may have played as an inconsequential interaction with another announcer caused chaos with 'The Brain'. Sensitive to anybody touching his neck, Heenan uttered the above F-bomb on the microphone and stormed off before regaining his composure, but Pillman's goal had been achieved - this didn't look predetermined because it wasn't.
