10 Wrestlers Who Changed Managers

The wrestlers who changed manager...for better or worse.

With the notable exceptions of the likes of Paul Heyman, Zeb Colter and Lana, present day WWE places little importance on the role of the manager. It wasn€™t always like that. Back in more flexible times, when wrestlers weren€™t all expected to be able to do absolutely everything from wrestling great matches to cutting spectacular promos in an effort to get noticed, the manager was an integral part of the WWE formula. Many a superstar would go onto greatness under the tutelage of the man or woman at ringside, with many managers even maintaining entire stables of wrestlers that could be interwoven into each other€™s storylines at the drop of a hat. There was even a time, particularly in the 1980s through to the mid-90s, where the right manager could make or break a rising star in the eyes of the fans. So what€™s a wrestler to do when their manager just isn€™t working out? They switch of course! Some of these managerial changes worked out for the better, whereas others saw the wrestler slump to lower levels than ever before. Some were even enforced by the manager themselves rather than the wrestler. The common thread is that all of these guys ended up changing personnel in an effort to get to even greater heights in the wrestling world.
