As has become something of a running joke within AEW, its index of hurt talent maintains a high figure, but arguably no current injury is of more concern than Kyle O'Reilly's.
Last wrestling a thrilling encounter vs. Jon Moxley on the 8 June Dynamite, itself the penultimate act to crown an interim AEW World Champion in the wake of CM Punk's wounds, KOR has been kept out of action by a series of nagging neck and shoulder injures accumulated from an eighteen-year career. He is expected to make a full rehabilitation, but when and where his comeback is declared is currently anyone's guess.
Given Adam Cole recently being given the all-clear after his own battle with injury and Roderick Strong's very recent arrival in the Tony Khan-fronted organisation, a Kyle O'Reilly return would be best placed within the next month or so, particularly as it pertains to Cole and Britt Baker's ongoing saga with both The Jericho Appreciation Society and The Outcasts, if he's good to go mind. Pushing Kyle too hard too quickly runs the risk of his remedies becoming undone, and so, like Adam Cole, perhaps a non-active comeback may suit him better before his first match a few weeks thereafter.
