10 Wrestlers Who Couldn't Hide Their Anger At A REAL Insult
7. Kevin Nash
It's strange that a man as unflappable as Kevin Nash, who hasn't dislodged his tongue from his cheek since around January 1999, appears twice on this list.
This time, however, you can see his point.
The basic story is that Scott Hall no-showed TNA Turning Point 2007, and Samoa Joe buried him in an interview segment. To Joe, it was that basic. He'd seen enough in that dumb f*ck promotion and was desensitised to its bullsh*t. He wasn't offended, or even fired-up. He did an impression of being fired up to build an angle at the urging of Vince Russo.
Joe worked a bit not unlike the Pipebomb, burying the "superstars" who ruined the good work of the "diehards". He did tell Hall to "kiss his ass", but he never criticised his substance issues. In retrospect, insofar as content, it was quite tame and generic by the standards of the worked shoot promo. It was nothing worse than what Nash had said about Arn Anderson in 1997, but Nash, concerned about his friend, was projecting. Joe's tone was sufficiently vicious that Nash, who had not been informed of the shift in direction, took it so personally that he lunged at Joe backstage.
This was no surprise to anybody who had watched his expression sour in the background.
