10 Wrestlers Who Deserve A Big Push After WWE Royal Rumble 2021
4. Damian Priest
Had WWE's original plans fallen into place, Damian Priest would have debuted on the main roster weeks ago.
The promotion intended to have Priest arrive alongside Kevin Owens on SmackDown. He'd be introduced as KO's "best friend" and an equalizer in the former 'Prizefighter's' feud with Jey Uso and Roman Reigns, but this idea was dismissed by Owens, personally, who pointed out that an ice-cold "best friend" storyline made no sense. Reigns agreed with him and the call-up was canned.
Main roster audiences finally got to see him last night, when Priest entered the Rumble at number 14. Eliminations of John Morrison, Elias, The Miz, and Kane followed, before the former NXT North American Champion was put out by Bobby Lashley, having made a strong impression on his maiden voyage.
There's little time to waste with Priest, who's already 38-years-old and works a style based largely around his athleticism. This should expedite a push on either Raw or SmackDown, where he is sure to connect with his charisma, flashy style, and great look, no matter where he lands.
