10 Wrestlers Who Deserve A Push In 2020
6. Apollo Crews
The bottom line with Apollo Crews is that after so long we haven't even begun to see him at his best. Any look into what even a mid-card run could do for him is just stamped out by inconsistent storylines and playing second fiddle to other talent on the roster. He's yet another wrestler who showed his best in NXT but never really went on to achieve what was expected of him.
The last notable appearance that Crews made was at the SummerSlam 2019 Kickoff in a match against Buddy Murphy. In theory, this sounded like a great way to start a series of matches in which Apollo could show off his in-ring prowess. The match was ended via disqualification when Rowan attacked Murphy. History repeats itself.
WWE gets cold feet whenever they start to do anything with Crews. Even a great run in the mid-card would do wonders for both Crews and WWE's mid-show viewership retention. A push like this is unlikely as he has been overlooked for so long, but it would spark interest in Crews and whatever television show they decide to showcase his talent on.
