10 Wrestlers Who Desperately Need New Finishers
6. Kevin Owens
The current WWE Universal Champion has a lot of things going for him, but the perfect finishing move isn't one of them. Like Sami Zayn, Owens was already a star on the independent scene, and he already had an established finisher. Also like Zayn, he had a finisher that wasn't going to fly in WWE.
That move was the Package Piledriver, a variation on a move that's been banned from the company for over a decade. When he came to WWE, he started using the Pop-Up Powerbomb, which involves him sending an opponent to the ropes, then throwing him up in the air on the rebound and catching him in a powerbomb.
It's not a bad move, but the best part is probably when Owens insults his opponent before throwing him at the ropes. Apart from that, it's kind of forgettable, and doesn't quite fit his image as a brawler who's amazingly athletic despite his size. When Owens was feuding with John Cena, he used a springing moonsault, and maybe that could work on a more regular basis.
