10 Wrestlers Who Desperately Need New Finishers
7. Tye Dillinger
It's hard not to be impressed by Tye Dillinger. The NXT star spent more than a decade busting his hump in WWE developmental and the indies, just hoping for an opportunity to be a superstar. Still, the closest he came was a very forgettable run as Gavin Spears in the revived ECW brand.
Over the past year-plus, though, he's finally gotten the "character" portion of his act down, becoming "The Perfect 10" Tye Dillinger. Despite being depicted as a narcissist assured of his own infallibility, the likable Dillinger soon won over the NXT faithful. The chants of "10" became infectious, and while he didn't reach the top of NXT, he seems primed for a main roster run soon.
Before he hits the big time, though, he needs a new finishing move. Currently, Dillinger uses the "Tye-Breaker," which is Hirooki Goto's Ushigoroshi - an over-the-knee Death Valley Driver. The problem is that AJ Styles already uses the move regularly, so Dillinger needs to find something new. The good news is that he can keep the delightfully corny "Tye-Breaker" name.
