10 Wrestlers Who Desperately Need New Finishers
5. Bayley
Bayley first came to fame as one of the Four Horsewomen, a quartet of female wrestlers in NXT who helped redefine mainstream women's wrestling in the U.S. Along with her opponents, she set a standard of competition for the developmental brand that was eventually embraced by WWE's main roster. Now, the women's divisions on Raw and Smackdown are light-years ahead of where they were previously.
Bayley's had her share of emotional wins, most of which have been highlighted by her finisher, the Bayley-to-Belly. A standard side belly-to-belly suplex, the move makes Bayley the only one of the Horsewomen not to use a submission hold as her finisher. That's great, but the move itself is lacking. Overhead belly-to-belly suplexes are typically more impressive than side ones, and a side suplex needs the right flourish to look good.
That said, the Bayley-to-Belly looks a whole lot more effective when Bayley does it off the second rope, so maybe that should become her regular finishing move.
