10 Wrestlers Who Don't Fit WWE's New Era

3. Dolph Ziggler

The days of clamouring for a big main event push for Dolph Ziggler are over. The former caddy turned cheerleader turned show-off has put his all into his WWE career, but the ship has surely sailed on any hopes for a big main event for the man?

In some ways similar to Zack Ryder, Dolph Ziggler should be at the forefront of the New Era in World Wrestling Entertainment, but he arrived on the scene a little too early for his own good. Strangely, this is also compounded by the similarities he shares with Ryback, in that every new arrival seems to have passed him by.

We are now at a point with Ziggler that when he faces a talent, many bemoan his victories due to the fact he 'doesn't need the win'. If Ziggler defeats Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin or any other NXT alumni, it seems unnecessary. This is a clear sign that Ziggler's value has diminished.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
