10 Wrestlers Who Don't Fit WWE's New Era

4. Ryback

With the recent palaver surrounding his contract status, the future of The Ryback has been somewhat up in the air. Whatever child was holding onto this particular balloon gave up clinging on just a couple of days back, as the Big Guy's merchandise found itself moved to the clearance section of WWE's shop and all bets regarding his imminent departure off.

Ryback did a better job than most at improving himself and moving on, and I'm certain that whatever he puts his hand to outside of professional wrestling will see success come his way. Even so, Ryback didn't and doesn't feel like a fit for WWE's New Era.

Ryback has always been a throwback, ever since he made his debut with this character back in 2012. He was booked as an infallible monster, defeating opponents with minimal effort. It took a crooked referee and a low blow to stop him, and from that point on he was somewhat compromised.

As new guy after new guy arrived in WWE, the Big Guy got frequently overlooked. His rumoured (and likely) departure is the best for both parties.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
