6. Elias & Kevin Owens

It was cheap. It was cheaper than every other WWE match finish.

But it was so, so loud.

A bit of incredibly basic backstory here written by a Brit who only has experience of such things - i.e. money disputes overriding the very purpose of professional sport - from Wimbledon FC's relocation to Milton Keynes. This apparently happens quite a bit in the U.S.

Wrestling fans: think of it as a character repackage, only you actually give a sh*t about the gimmick being repackaged because it articulates your sense of community and belonging through the unparalleled dramatic thrill of real sport. Which, without being harsh, is more than Chavo Guerrero ever did.

The Seattle Supersonics couldn't find the money to construct a fit-for-purpose arena, and the NBA franchise relocated to Oklahoma City. That's the short version.

Kevin Owens addressed the Seattle audience on October 1, 2018 to complain that it didn't make sense for John Cena and Bobby Lashley team together.

"It's like having a basketball team in Seattle," Elias said.

The crowd f*cking hated this because so much of what those people used to work and indeed live for was torn away from them. This didn't do much to get John Cena over, granted. And nobody outside of Seattle gave a sh*t.

But still: very loud.
