10 Wrestlers Who Have Changed The Most Since AEW Launched
1. Britt Baker
Britt Baker was always set to be the star of AEW's women's division and was a huge presence in AEW's early promotion. Baker has always been skilled in the ring and had a great look, yet, in AEW's beginnings she was often overshadowed by the division's Japanese talent.
Alongside this, the Good Doctor's gimmick leaned a little too heavily on her dentistry career outside of wrestling. While it is a neat bit of trivia, being beaten with it during her every appearance soon became eyerolling, considering there was so much more about Baker worthy of extolling. A wrestling dentist was not the draw AEW bookers thought it was; case and point, Isaac Yankem.
Thankfully, Britt has managed to relegate her dentistry work to a background detail and has become one of the most compelling heels on AEW's books. She has added smarmy and smug character work to all her other assets to become a champion calibre heel even beyond AEW.
While Britt has always been sold as a star in AEW, she has morphed into a stellar and well-rounded sports entertainer. However, professional wrestling relies on partnership - and hopefully the promotion can give the rest of the division a much needed boost.
