A classy technician with a well-refined in-ring game, Deonna Purrazzo is a victim of circumstance. She was added to the NXT talent pool on merit in May 2018 but has since struggled to break through the massive pile of talented performers ahead of her. This looked like changing a few months ago; alas, though, it has not.

Like former Largo loop tag partner Chelsea Green, 'The Virtuosa' was hot-shotted onto Raw to put a top star over. For Green, it was Charlotte Flair; for Deonna, Asuka. That both would be elevated in the aftermath seemed a fair assumption and Chelsea has lived up to that, bagging herself a regular televised role alongside a shiny new manager in Robert Stone. Purrazzo? Not so much.

January 2020 brought an appearance in NXT's Women's Title contendership battle royal followed by a misfiring backstage ambush of Shotzi Blackheart, who'd eliminated her. Blackheart flattened her one week later. Purrazzo, despite looking a surefire candidate for a more regular role, hasn't been seen on television since, having even fallen off the Main Event radar after two losses to Sarah Logan.
