10 Wrestlers Who Have Suffered The Most Since WrestleMania 34
1. Roman Reigns
The thought process remains inscrutable.
At WrestleMania 34, the site of Roman's big coronation, Vince McMahon didn't coronate him. Instead, he dispatched Brock Lesnar to open Reigns up the hard way, in what was either an attempt to generate sympathy on Roman's behalf or a rage-fuelled wish fulfilment exercise projected onto a disrespectful audience who could not care less. If they couldn't muster sympathy on behalf of Stuck Pig Roman, WWE fans were hardly going to care about Imitation Daniel Bryan Roman.
And yet, here we are: Roman, annoyed over his lack of opportunities despite being handed one without earning it - reflecting in fiction the very mentality driving fan discord - is now being held down by The Man. It is so unbelievable that it can only inspire pure disbelief. Obviously, this did not work, and so Vince McMahon has since elected to bore fans into a reaction - first by laying out an on-paper great match versus Samoa Joe as if it took place not at Backlash but on Wrestling Challenge, and subsequently by programming him with Lesser Of Two Evils Jinder Mahal who, predictably enough, is received as Daniel Bryan whenever Reigns destroys him on TV.
It's Roman's scrapyard, and he's on the heap.
