10 Wrestlers Who Knew They Were On The Way Out
6. Diesel (WWE In Your House 7: Good Friends, Better Enemies)
Should Vince McMahon have seen The Outsiders coming all along? It goes without mention a lot of the time, but he effectively booked Kevin Nash as WCW's version of the character before 'Big Daddy Cool' had even left for Atlanta.
As well as battering f*ck out of his best mate Shawn Michaels at In Your House 7, Diesel claimed to have one last beating saved for McMahon himself after the fact. He'd rather sinisterly promised him a surprise in the latest of his worked shoots on the management of the World Wrestling Federation after what they'd done to the Diesel character in the year prior.
It all existed to set up a chaotic spot that saw Michaels covered in detritus after taking a Jackknife through the announce table, drawing the ire of McMahon as he was forced to endure the closest look. The tension felt as real as the aggro throughout the rest of the contest, surely playing off the professional unease that existed with the promoter and his departing former Champion.
