10 Wrestlers Who Lived In The Shadow Of More Famous Relatives

More so than anyone else on this list, Horace Hogan put himself in someone else's shadow by gleefully riding his uncle's coattails. Using the name Hogan in wrestling and not wanting people to connect you with 'The Hulkster' is like another actor using the name DiCaprio and whining anytime someone mentioned the star of Inception. So you can't really feel bad for Horace, because he did this to himself.

Regardless of the nepotism invoked to get Horace into the fray, there was no amount of partiality that could be used to get Hulk's nephew over with the audience. Debuting as a member of Raven's Flock, Horace's true bloodline was revealed during the infamous Hulk-Ultimate Warrior redo in 1998. As an intimidation tactic, Hulk proceeded to beat the crap out of his nephew to prove... something?

Ultimately, Horace's main contributions during his time in WCW were taking that beating from Uncle Hulk and sulking around the bottom rung of the nWo lineup. When Hulk left WCW in 2000 after a spat with Vince Russo, Horace was naturally out of a job. After Hulk returned to WWE in 2002, Horace was given a developmental contract with the company. Thankfully, that's as far as the Hogan pedigree pushed the mediocre wrestler the second time around.
