10 Wrestlers Who NEED A Huge 2024
8. Britt Baker
While self promotion is of course a major part of professional wrestling, it’s never a good sign when a superstar has to take to X to air their grievances about their employer, and worse still when they do so in a manner that’s completely devoid of kayfabe and, indeed, fun.
One can hardly blame Britt Baker for being disgruntled at a lack of TV time, and she’s well within her rights to draw fans’ attention to the fact she’s had zero minutes of on-air promo this year. For one of AEW’s finest homegrown success stories, she certainly seems to be taken for granted at present. For every highlight - Wembley Stadium, a fantastic TBS title match with Kris Statlander - there have been weeks and months of inactivity.
Baker has said on AEW All Access that she’s none too interested in being champion again, but to write her off altogether seems crazy, even ungrateful treatment of a woman who’s shed a lot of blood for the company. Depending on how Jade Cargill gets on in WWE, Baker will surely be weighing up her options.
