Of all the wrestlers on this list, Priest comes with the most glaring caveat: it can be assumed there are big plans in store for Senor Money In The Bank. Ever since Backlash and his masterpiece of mayhem with Bad Bunny, the company is clearly hot on the Bloodline leader, who carries TV storylines and the MITB briefcase alike.

That guaranteed contract, though, can be a poisoned chalice. Sometimes seen as a security blanket, its holder is often booked to lose a lot in the knowledge they’ve a world title redemption story lurking. As we’ve seen, though, it’s no guarantee that the briefcase winner will grab the brass ring - just look at Austin Theory.

Theory, at least, has time on his side. A clearer cautionary tale would be Baron Corbin, once a chosen man, now a wrestler whose inability to buy a win is fodder for NXT angles. Priest has been handled far more carefully than Corbin, but he’s been around the block, so if the trigger isn’t pulled now, it may never be.

Odds are, though, that the Bloodline leader gets his hands on gold in the coming months. How long for is another question (using him to transition between Rollins and Knight seems to make a lot of sense).
