10 Wrestlers Who Really Never Saw It Coming

2. Seth Rollins

The most recent incident to be featured on the list - and admittedly largely the inspiration behind this piece - Seth Rollins was attacked by a rogue fan on the 22 November 2021 episode of WWE Raw.

Having decimated Finn Bálor, the Visionary made his way to the back while having a cameraman in front of him. From Rollins' right, unbeknownst to him, 24-year-old Elisah Spencer had left his seat, hopped the barrier and charged at the four-time WWE World Champion.

Spencer tackled Rollins but was quickly put in a guillotine choke as the pair tumbled to the floor as company officials and referees swooped in. Once the dust settled, Elisah was arrested and charged by the NYPD with attempted assault and attempted violation of arts and cultural affairs. As for Rollins, he was thankfully left unhurt bar a swollen lip.

Since this incident, Spencer's social media activity has suggested he had previously been duped into a doomed business arrangement - or lack thereof - by some loser posing as Seth Rollins online. Whether the New Yorker realised he'd spent years being scammed with a fake Rollins or not, he unfortunately seemingly decided to take his anger out on the real Seth.
