10 Wrestlers Who Should Challenge Jon Moxley For The Interim AEW World Title
6. Lance Archer
At time of writing Lance Archer finds himself a new addition to the AEW rankings top 5. So don’t be surprised if his representative Jake Roberts starts advocating for his client to get a shot at the interim title.
“The Murderhawk Monster” feels like a busted flush in AEW. It’s hard to remain credible as an athletic big guy, whose entrance music proclaims “Everybody dies,” when you’re constantly coming up short in big matches.
But if you think big Lance just isn’t on Moxley’s level, don’t forget that he once defeated Mox on AEW television for NJPW’s IWGP US title. Could that be enough to cast doubt on the result here? No one would really be predicting a switch but their previous match could inform a couple of nail-biting near falls.
Plus we know the pair of them can put an entertaining show together. Both of them thrive in the weapon strewn domain of a Light’s Out or Texas Death Match. Watching this pair in a bloody brawl for the belt would make for a cracking Dynamite main event, if not quite PPV standard.
