10 Wrestlers Who Should Own WWE After Wrestlemania 29
The post Wrestlemania landscape is always a strange place for the WWE to find itself. After investing so much of its time and creative juices in building towards Wrestlemania, and then delivering what they consider to be their best matches, they suddenly realise they need to fill the coming year before the next Wrestlemania too. Last year they brought back Brock Lesnar the night after Wrestlemania to a great reaction, and that, combined with the overnight hype that Daniel Bryan enjoyed after being squashed by Sheamus, carried them over the potential come down after Wrestlemania. But we also saw young superstars such as Ryback, Damien Sandow and Antonio Cesaro emerge in the months after Wrestlemania, taking their chance in the notoriously quiet period for WWE. What this time of year does offer is the opportunity for a number of younger superstars to step up and grab the spotlight. While some of the part timers will still be around for a little longer, soon they will go back to their lives in Hollywood or semi-retirement. And so there will be a void left to fill, main event spots up for grabs, TV time to claim. After Extreme Rules, the pay-per-view that follows Wrestlemania, many storylines will be drawing to a close, and the likes of The Rock and The Undertaker will likely disappear again. Every superstar left in the locker room will want to be at the front of the queue to claim their spot. So with spots to fill across the main event scene, the midcard, tag and Divas divisions, here, in no particular order, are 10 superstars who should own the WWE following Wrestlemania.
