10 Wrestlers Who Should Return To WWE NXT

9. Cedric Alexander

Cedric Alexander did not have much of a first tenure in NXT. Following a breakout performance in the Cruiserweight Classic, Cedric was signed to WWE and wrestled a few matches for the black and gold brand before the advent of 205 Live.

After arguably the most successful run of anyone from the cruiserweight division, the soul of 205 Live made his way to the main roster. Joining The Hurt Business gave Cedric his first taste of a main event level storyline, holding the Raw Tag Team Championships with Shelton Benjamin alongside WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and leader MVP. Since the group has split up, Cedric has been floundering on Monday nights, with nothing better to do than chase after the 24/7 Championship and lose tag matches in quick succession alongside Benjamin.

What the former Cruiserweight Champion needs more than anything is to re-establish himself in the eyes of the WWE Universe. While that seems unlikely as he pursues Reggie and Dana Brooke, returning to NXT is exactly what Cedric Alexander needs to show the world what he is: one of the best wrestlers in WWE.
