10 Wrestlers Who Should Switch Companies

6. Wardlow (AEW to WWE)

Dynasty Chris Jericho HOOK
AEW

Is there a bigger example of AEW's booking mishandling than Wardlow? There was a time in the early days of AEW that Wardlow could truly have been considered the first 'home grown' star of the company. After his run as MJF's bodyguard and subsequent face turn after handing the diamond ring to CM Punk it seemed like there was going to be a rocket strapped to him. What happened instead were three stuttering TNT Championship reigns followed by Wardlow being passed around factions.

He's currently with The Undisputed Kingdom and was introduced to the group by Adam Cole saying Wardlow would win the AEW Heavyweight Championship in the near future. It seems like an event very unlikely to happen now so distant is Wardlow's name from those conversations. Wardlow has spent years being the man who could have be AEW's break out star but never truly hitting his stride

If Wardlow was given the time to develop as a singles wrestler and not be simply presented as somebody's sidekick then it's possible he could once again capture the magic of 'The Powerbomb Symphony' that captivated so many people in the early days of Dynamite. Perhaps a short stint in NXT would be the boost the man needs?
