10 Wrestlers Who Spent The Longest Time In WWE Royal Rumbles (Without Eliminating Anyone)
4. Sami Zayn (2017) - 47:12
Sami Zayn's official main roster debut came during the 2016 Royal Rumble match when he ran down to the ring and immediately eliminated blood rival, Kevin Owens. It was a huge moment and really set Sami up for a great run on Raw and SmackDown. One year later, however, and Sami seemed to have forgotten everything he learned in the previous Rumble.
Sami Zayn entered at number 7 and lasted an impressive 47 minutes and 12 seconds; the second-longest of anyone that year. What would have been more impressive is if he'd actually managed to eliminate somebody. This was far from Sami's best performance, but he didn't help himself by doing stupid things like jumping off the top rope at Randy Orton. Come on, Sami, you've seen an Orton match before. You know what happens.
One positive that Sami can take away from this otherwise-dismal night is his place in the history of one of wrestling's greatest icons. He was the fourth man eliminated by The Undertaker in this match, making him the final ever person thrown over the rope by The Phenom across 11 different Rumble matches.
