10 Wrestlers Who Took The Fall To Make Others Look Good

1. Asuka

This writer has kvetched about Asuka's terrible booking before, and with good reason. What with her ludicrous 0-5 record at WrestleMania and the way she's often treated as an afterthought during her own title reigns (Hell, it's happening right now), WWE have shown a mind-boggling reluctance to make use of Asuka's lightning-in-a-bottle brilliance.

Yet through it all, the Empress of Tomorrow has never lost her smile.

Asuka introduced herself to WWE fans by bounding up and down the entrance ramp shouting "Dream come true! Dream come true!", and that enthusiasm has never left her. Even when booked to lose - repeatedly - for the benefit of stars like Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair and her nemesis Charlotte Flair, Asuka always bounces back with her trademark grin on her face and nary a hint of dissatisfaction. Indeed, she's usually the first to squash any rumours of her alleged unhappiness with her booking.

To conclude, let's bring things full circle and go back to the star we namechecked at the start of the article. Road Dogg's booking philosophy may be suspect, but the man was bang on the money when he praised Asuka's selflessness in the ring. (Pity about his opinions on Bret Hart, but no-one's perfect).
