The Charismatic Enigma enjoyed humble beginnings in the then WWF as an adolescent jobber throughout the mid 90s. In between weekly beatings, Jeff teamed up with brother Matt to create OMEGA (Organisation of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts), a wild indie promotion in their home state of North Carolina. At just 21 years old, Jeff signed a proper contract with WWF in 1998 leading to the dissolution of OMEGA and the Attitude Era debut of The Hardy Boyz.

Hardy quickly became an immense fan favourite thanks to his high flying, daredevil antics bell to bell. Wowing crowds and peers alike with his fearless displays, he and Matt were pioneers in the tables, ladders and chair oriented matches that quickly became a fixture of WWF programming at the time.

By 2001, the 24 year old Jeff was considered a future megastar by Vince McMahon. Plans were laid out for a Hardy Boyz splits and solo runs for the 2 with McMahon believing Jeff had the potential to be the next Shawn Michaels-calibre star. While that did not quite pan out the way many had hoped, Jeff Hardy’s groundbreaking approach to the ring lead to hi, becoming a career long fan favourite all the same.
