8. Kaito Kiyomiya
During the noughties, Pro Wrestling NOAH was the biggest promotion in all of Japan thanks to long time stars Mitsuharu Misawa (the founder) and Kenta Kobashi. The promotion quickly grew a reputation for struggling horribly with the creation of new stars. The likes of Naomichi Marufuji, Jun Akiyama and Takeshi Morishima were abysmally booked during their initial world title reigns.
Fast forward to today and NOAH is not at the top of the pecking order and its old stars are long gone. In the form of Kaito Kiyomiya however, they have finally proved they can indeed create new main event talent.
Presented as a prodigy, Kiyomiya began his training at 19 in the NOAH dojo and debuted 9 months later. Since then, the fiery youngster has won the
NOAH is known for being particularly awful at creating new talent but Kaito Kiyomiya is the exception, he plays the role of a fiery young rookie very well and is a great seller.
Noted his idol to be the late Mitsuharu Misawa as he even debuted in a green attire in honor of him.He began training in NOAH in March of 2015 and underwent 9 months in the dojo before his debut that December. In 2018, the 22 year old Kiyomiya won both the Global League tournament and the GHC Heavyweight Championship becoming the youngest champion in company (and puroresu altogether) history.
