Mick Foley's days of shoving a sweaty sock down people's throats have thankfully came to a close, after he (in what increasingly seems like a pointless gesture) symbolically gifted the move to Bray Wyatt's Fiend last year.

The multi-faceted Foley's last recorded example of laundry abuse was not, as you might think, him socking Triple H on Raw in 2017 following another round of verbal emancipation from boss Stephanie McMahon. The then-Commissioner, having been ordered to fire somebody, instead fired his digits straight down The Game's gob. His subsequent 'firing' heralded the end of his tenure on the show.

Since then, Foley's WWE appearances have seen him be an utterly useless ref at Hell in a Cell 2018, and the aforementioned Wyatt maiming, whilst the socks have stayed firmly on his feet. However, it's occasionally been unfurled for his various independent appearances, the last recorded instance at a Greektown Wrestling show in 2018. Given the Fiend's thievery, it appears Foley has put a sock in putting a sock in it for now.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
