10 Wrestlers Who Will Be WWE Champion By The Next US Election
1. Baron Corbin
Many WWE fans have conditioned themselves over the past three years to automatically despise Baron Corbin for everything he does. However, this writer would argue that Corbin is in fact an excellent heel who has fallen victim to terrible on too many occasions.
While he's no AJ Styles or Daniel Bryan in the ring, Corbin more than holds his own in big matches; his signature moves, The End of Days and Deep-Six are awesome. While his style means he is yet to have that one great singles match, he plays the role of a brute in multi-man matches excellently. Furthermore, in an era where most heels are basically just cooler faces, Corbin stands out as someone who can make themselves genuinely hated by the vast majority of the fanbase.
What has stopped him from becoming a star is mostly down to booking. Corbin has arguably become one of the biggest victims of WWE's inability to plan anything beyond the next half-an-hour of television. Rarely being put into a compelling story of any kind, Corbin is WWE's heel of choice for an upper-midcarder who doesn't have much going on at the moment. Then WWE will have them endlessly attack each other for several months until the feud dies a slow painful death about seven weeks after it should have ended.
Vince McMahon is clearly high on him and his loyalty to the company is unwavering. At some point, the Lone Wolf will have to be rewarded for it.
