10 Wrestlers Who Will Never Work For WWE Again (And Why)
9. Chavo Guerrero
One wrestler who did sign for the then-WWF immediately after WCW was purchased by Vince McMahon was Chavo Guerrero. The man's most successful run came when teaming with his late uncle, Eddie Guerrero, and the pair were part of the infamous 'Smackdown Six' in 2002. Having superlative tag matches against the likes of Edge, Rey Mysterio, Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle was commonplace for 'Los Guerreros'. Chavo would later play the role of 'Kerwin White', an ill-advised gimmick change that did nothing for Guerrero. From there, he toiled as a lower mid-card level wrestler, before being let go in June, 2011. It was actually Chavo's request that WWE release him from contract, he wasn't happy with his standing in the company. Since then, he has worked for TNA, various independent companies and Lucha Underground. In interviews since his WWE departure, Chavo has been outspoken about several issues in the company. Making the rather risky decision to criticise John Cena's work via social media, it seems implausible that Chavo Guerrero has a door open for him to return to the promotion. He wasn't thrilled to be there towards the end, and has been cutting when discussing the WWE system.
