10 Wrestlers Who Would Have Made Better Managers
6. Rosa Mendes
Throughout her WWE career, Rosa Mendes has indeed fulfilled
the role of manager on plenty of occasions. Some of her former clients include Zack
Ryder, during an ECW run that saw him retire Tommy Dreamer, as well as Adam
Rose and the teams of Primo & Epico and Tamina & Alicia Fox.
Rather than allowing her to hone her craft though, she was then pushed into in-ring competition, and flitted between the two roles for much of the rest of her career. That kind of double-duty and inconsistency didn’t really allow her to gain any momentum and get a good run in either of the two fields.
Now, you could argue that her lack of momentum was due to other ability-based factors. Or, you could suggest that they’d have been far better off focusing on one or the other—wrestling or managing—instead of bouncing between the two.
Currently, Rosa’s on maternity leave, but she was last seen working for the company as a backstage interviewer, a position from which a transition back to management would certainly be feasible.
Although, if her Twitter feed is anything to go by, it looks like she has her sights set on an in-ring return.
