From business that will never be finished because of injury to some that will forever stay open due to the sourest of grapes. CM Punk walked out of World Wrestling Entertainment the night after the 2014 Royal Rumble, disgusted with the state of the company and his position in it. He never returned, and whilst we can't really say 'never' in pro wrestling this is one that does seem pretty final.

The business that CM Punk left unfinished in WWE may very well have been near the top of his reasons for leaving. Punk wanted to change the professional wrestling landscape from the inside, and whilst it could be argued that he succeeded eventually he didn't complete his mission whilst contracted to the company.

He never got his WrestleMania main event either, and will forever top lists of gentlemen who never had that honour but truly deserved it. If Punk were to return he would surely walk into a Mania headlining spot, but I wouldn't put any money on that.

If nothing else Punk still needs to get revenge on Kane for illegally eliminating him from the 2014 Royal Rumble.
