10 Wrestlers WWE Made You Hate (Thanks To Awful Booking)
3. Triple H
Fans have found plenty of reasons to dislike Triple H over the years, but the way he has been booked throughout his career is near the top. A solid worker, good talker, and an excellent heel at the height of his powers, 'The Game' was, ironically, a B+ player presented as one of the best in the world.
Though clearly a strong performer, Triple H definitely wasn't a star on the level of The Rock or Steve Austin, and certainly not the second coming of Harley Race, whom he so dearly wants to replicate.
His list of mis-bookings is huge. Randy Orton, Booker T, Kurt Angle, Sting, CM Punk: 'The Game' has buried them all. He was pushed to the moon throughout the Ruthless Aggression era, notching five obnoxious World Title reigns between 2002 and 2005, completely overexposing him as the top heel. In the modern era, he was part of the dreadful Authority angle that often rendered Raw completely unwatchable, and his tiresome, 30-minute WrestleMania "epics" are an annual blight on the year's biggest show.
Triple H has done plenty to benefit the wrestling business throughout his career, but he has often been a tedious onscreen presence, and there's little reason to believe this will change when Vince McMahon eventually hands him and Stephanie the keys.
