10 Wrestlers WWE Made You Hate (Thanks To Awful Booking)

2. Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns currently divides WWE audiences like no other. Beloved by younger fans, he is reviled by almost everybody above adolescence, and made history by becoming the first babyface to ever win PWI's 'Most Hated Wrestler' award in 2016. He regularly draws the loudest boos in the company, but it's not entirely his fault.

The former Shield bruiser was presented as 'The Guy' at a time when the fans were still clamouring for Daniel Bryan. His Royal Rumble 2015 coronation was a disaster that even The Rock couldn't save, and he has been continually booked as WWE's strongest wrestler. Reigns loses more often than John Cena and Hulk Hogan, but his push has been remarkably similar, with each loss coming with a convenient excuse, or immediate retribution.

Reigns' vitriol peaked the night after WrestleMania 33, when he was almost booed out of the building for retiring The Undertaker 24 hours prior. He let the crowd shower him with jeers, and appeared to bask in the hatred, before raising the microphone and uttering one simple line: "this is my yard now."

If he were portraying a heel, this would've been a perfect moment, but no: this is WWE's "top babyface." No wonder everyone hates him...
