10 Wrestlers WWE Should Retain If They Buy TNA

2. Drew Galloway

That WWE made a big mistake in releasing Drew Galloway is a gross understatement. After debuting as Vince McMahon’s hand-picked “Chosen One,” Drew’s WWE career tailed-off badly, and his latter days were spent wasting his career with Jinder Mahal and Heath Slater in 3MB.

Galloway was released in 2014, and immediately hit the indie scene like a bat out of hell. Drew came alive on the smaller stages, performing with a fire and vigour he was never allowed to express in WWE, and proving his worth to all who watched him. Now, Drew is one of the independent scene’s most highly-regarded workers, and he had a run as TNA World Heavyweight Champion earlier this year.

Perhaps this current run is exactly what Galloway needed to reinvigorate his career, and breathe new life into his act. He’s got the look, skills and talking ability required to make it at the sport’s highest level, and he’s a great heel to boot. Drew Galloway has everything WWE look for in a top-level star, and he’s one of the first guys they should look at signing if the purchase goes through.

SmackDown would suit him perfectly. Though The Miz and Dolph Ziggler have done a great job with their feud, the Intercontinental Title scene is woefully-understocked, and who better to bolster it than a man who never truly lost it in the first place?
