10 Wrestlers You Didn't Know Were In NXT AND AEW

5. Vickie Guerrero

Prior to her husband and veritable industry legend Eddie's untimely passing in 2005, Vickie Guerrero had almost no personal wrestling experience, save a couple of cameos as part of the Springer-esque 'custody over Dominick' storyline. So when WWE offered her a performer's contract in the wake of Eddie's death, few tipped her for anything like the enduring success that'd follow.

Vickie took to her role like a goldfish to a bowl, her irritating caterwauling doing more to generate heat with just two words than many of her new colleagues in entire programmes. Mind you, she was never destined to be an in-ring technician par excellence like her husband, so it's with some intrigue that Guerrero, in addition to screeching on SmackDown, has made appearances for both the workrate-centric NXT and AEW. After a fashion, anyway.

Today, Guerrero serves as Nyla Rose's manager over on Dynamite, but she also offered a similar mentorship role for Kaitlyn during Season 3 of NXT's original format. The pair eventually squared off in a rookie vs. pro match in 2010, though it wasn't easy to tell which was which. Not exactly tearing it down in the Women's Revolution, but it still counts!

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
